NCII Certificate in Counselling Skills & Practice (Part Time)                                                

This part-time course is designed for (a) those who have little or no professional experience but wish to extend their knowledge of interpersonal and counselling skills prior to undertaking more advanced training in counselling at Degree level and (b) healthcare professionals, teachers, social workers, managers and others who wish to increase their interpersonal and counselling skills and apply them within their professional practice.

Students undertake a number of key areas that explore the relationship between counselling and society. Experimental learning and skills practice are central to this course. The course is designed to be flexible to meet people’s busy lives and will be presented in a number of locations throughout the country. The course is an excellent basis for those who wish to extend their knowledge and experience of counselling prior to undertaking more advanced training in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology or other related disciplines.
The programme is contains a Module from our degree programme and participants will have access to progression routes within the National Counselling Institute of Ireland’s degree structure.

Candidates who successfully complete this module can count the HETAC Credits obtained towards one of our HETAC accredited degree programmes.
Important: Please note that the certificate awarded for this course is a National Counselling Institute of Ireland Certificate and not a HETAC awarded certificate.
